Privacy policy

Information you give us

• Quote requests and bookings: your name, email, phone number, event date, event type, event address and venue, the items you want, and any notes you add.
• Your account: your email address and sign-in details, plus the bookings, quotes and payments connected to your account.
• Rental agreements: when you sign an agreement online, we keep a copy of the agreement, your printed name, the time you signed, and the IP address and browser you signed from, as a record of the signature.
• Chat: the messages and photos you send through the chat on our website, and the name, email and phone number you choose to share there. We also note the page you started the chat from.
• Photo booth planning: the answers, logos and photos you upload to design your photo booth prints.
• Payments: payments are handled by Stripe. We see the amount and whether the payment went through, but we never receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

• Cookies:small files that keep you signed in, remember your cart and event date, and let you continue a chat. See “Cookies” below.
• Usage and performance data:we use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to count page visits and measure how fast pages load. These tools don't use cookies and don't identify you personally.
• Device and connection details: your IP address and browser type are recorded when you start a chat or sign an agreement, and are used briefly to limit spam and abuse.

How we use your information

• To prepare quotes, confirm bookings, and deliver, set up and pick up rentals.
• To take deposits and payments, and send receipts and invoices.
• To reply to your messages by chat, email, phone or text, including emailing you our chat replies if you've left the website.
• To keep records of signed agreements and completed rentals.
• To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of our website.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it.

We don't send marketing emails, and we don't sell your information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:

• Stripe: payment processing.
• Supabase: account sign-in, our database, and storage for photos and uploads.
• Vercel: website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
• Resend: sending emails such as quotes, confirmations and chat replies.
• Mapbox: suggesting addresses as you type and working out delivery distance.
• Apple: notifications to our own staff devices when you book or send a chat message.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or yours. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies

We use only cookies that the website needs to work:

• Sign-in: keeps you signed in to your account.
• Cart: remembers the items in your cart.
• Event date:remembers the date you picked so we can show what's available.
• Chat: lets you see and continue your chat with us on this device.

We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, but you may be signed out and lose your cart or chat history on that device.

How long we keep it

We keep booking, payment and agreement records for as long as we need them for our business, tax and legal records. We keep chat conversations and photos until they're no longer needed or you ask us to delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), and we'll do so unless we're required to keep it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email us at book@partyspotrentals.comand we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

California residents:under California law you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to ask us to delete or correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to our systems, and private storage for photos and uploads. No website is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

Our website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
